Ever since the foundation of the SSECS in 1991 the Bulletin appeared twice a year. From 1997 to 2008 an additional Supplément bibliographique has been distributed to members annually. For a long time the Bulletin provided the most important link between members of the Society and was accordingly devoted to news of ongoing research projects, meetings, events, and recent publications relating to Switzerland in the eighteenth century. Thanks to this website created in 2007 it became possible to inform members more efficiently. The Bulletin as well as the short-lived special issues of the Bulletin have been replaced by the Yearbook of the SSECS, titled xviii.ch, which is published by Schwabe, Basel, from 2010.
