Le temps des Lumi\u00e8res verra s\u2019amplifier et se consolider ce mouvement\u00a0qui nous a l\u00e9gu\u00e9 un patrimoine imprim\u00e9 et manuscrit d\u2019une tr\u00e8s grande richesse.<\/p>\n<p>Ces productions qui r\u00e9sultent de conditionnements particuliers\u00a0\u2013 g\u00e9ophysiques, politiques, confessionnels, anthropologiques, rh\u00e9toriques, \u00e9pist\u00e9mologiques, moraux \u2013 sont g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement \u00e9clips\u00e9es par les chefs-d\u2019\u0153uvre de Rousseau, d\u2019Isabelle de Charri\u00e8re ou de Germaine de Sta\u00ebl\u00a0; mais leur \u00e9tude s\u2019av\u00e8re profitable, car elle permet de mettre au jour la constitution de cette culture litt\u00e9raire qui, propre \u00e0 une contr\u00e9e \u00e0 la fois tr\u00e8s d\u00e9pendante et tr\u00e8s \u00e9loign\u00e9e de la m\u00e9tropole fran\u00e7aise, finira par se cristalliser dans une forme de conscience nationale.<\/p>\n<p>Plut\u00f4t que de c\u00e9l\u00e9brer les propri\u00e9t\u00e9s de cette culture, ce livre propose de remonter aux sources de notre imaginaire en examinant la formation d\u2019une mythologie qui continue de nourrir, par les images, les figures et les croyances qu\u2019elle a fix\u00e9es, un sentiment de singularit\u00e9 helv\u00e9tique dont on mesure encore de nos jours, pour le meilleur et pour le pire, le pouvoir de s\u00e9duction.<\/p>\n<p>\u2192 <a href=\"http:\/\/www.georg.ch\/index.php\/enclos-des-lumieres.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Commander le livre<\/a><\/p>\n<p><em>Fran\u00e7ois Rosset est professeur de litt\u00e9rature fran\u00e7aise \u00e0 l\u2019Universit\u00e9 de Lausanne.
